Sakiko Kanamori ’63 Gala Alumni Concert

Sakiko Kanamori ’63 Gala Alumni Concert

What happens to Voice Department graduates after they leave Hope? Where do they go? With whom do they sing? How do they cope with the pressures and challenges of building vocal careers?

Associate Professor Linda Dykstra wanted to find out, so she invited ten recent graduates back to campus. She had two goals: to give members of the college community a chance to hear these singers and accompanists, and to give current students an opportunity to interact with graduates who were now out in “the real world”.

Date: October 24, 2017
Venue: The Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts

Three-four hundred people attended on a rainy, Saturday evening. The Sakiko Prize fund provided some financial support. Here is the NEWS FROM HOPE COLLEGE announcement. https://tinyurl.com/ycznqnj2
